Mukdahan overview

Mukdahan Travel Guide
Mukdahan is both a city and province in the northeast of Thailand and it also shares a border with Laos. The Second Thai-Laos Friendship Bridge, completed in 2006, crosses from the city into the neighbouring country. The city is very Thai orientated and unless the language is second nature to you, it would be best to use the area as a short stopover. There are the normal temples to visit and also a 65 metre-tall watch tower constructed in 1996 to celebrate the king’s ascension to the throne. The first floor of the tower houses an arts and cultural museum while the second floor is home to a collection of artefacts depicting the history of eight local tribes from the region.
