Nakhon Si Thammarat overview

Nakhon Si Thammarat Travel Guide
This coastal town lies in the south of the country, along the east coast, and is a popular Thai tourist destination. The main town area is ideal for overseas visitors who like to immerse themselves in a traditional way so do not expect a McDonalds on hand to serve a quick dinner. The old city walls show how much the city has grown since the wall’s construction in the 13th century but only one gate remains from the original 10 and this one looks east and towards the sea. Temple lovers will love this part of Thailand due the quantity and quality of the ancient wats found across the town but if you want to visit a more tourist-orientated part of the country, you may wish to make the short journey to the nearby island of Koh Samui.
