Nan overview

Nan Travel Guide
The small yet charming city of Nan offers its name to the province within which it can be found in the north of Thailand. The murky waters of the Nan River provide a centerpiece around which the city has grown and the older portion of the city is home to an impressive museum and Wat Phumin. This wat is the most visited in the region and its cruciform ubosot is stunning to look at. There are numerous other wat to see but aside from Phumin, the others should be explored by temple-enthusiasts as they have a tendency to blur into one memory for those who are less interested. Nanís tourist infrastructure is in its early formation and the old walls that can be seen in various states of ruin around the city are striking to history buffs but nothing more than crumbling stone walls to the rest of us.
