Phrae overview

Phrae Travel Guide
Phrae was once an important Thai community but is now mainly known for having a huge reserve of teak forests, one of the largest in the country. So if you’re looking for that special coffee table that will bring your sitting room together, you could find it in Phrae. Many of the forests here are protected, however, so don’t go out armed with a chainsaw chopping trees down willy-nilly. The Yom River also flows through town, making Phrae a rather nice place to stay. Much of the cheap accommodation here is centred on the city’s night market where you can pick up all of the overpriced tourist souvenirs that you’ve ever dreamed of.
